JESA and ShowStoppers sign MOU
JESA and ShowStoppers sign MOU to boost international press attendance, coverage of CEATEC JAPAN tech show.
AUSTIN, TX., USA, 12 Dec. 2018 and TOKYO, JAPAN, 13 Dec. 2018 – ShowStoppers® and the Japan Electronics Show Association (JESA) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that calls for ShowStoppers and JESA to develop a range of activities that drive international press attendance and coverage of CEATEC JAPAN®, www.ceatec.com, the annual exhibition that organizes the Internet of Things, robotics, AI and other digital technologies to showcase Japan’s vision for growth and the super-smart Society 5.0 of the future.
To begin, JESA will exhibit and meet with journalists that attend ShowStoppers @ CES, the press event that ShowStoppers produces 8 Jan. 2019 in Las Vegas. More than 1,300 journalists from 60 countries are already registered for this event – and over 100 startups and industry leaders are planning to introduce and demo new products and services for work, home and play.
“We look forward to working together with JESA over the next three years to connect more journalists from around the world with CEATEC JAPAN — as we introduce Japanese technology companies to ShowStoppers events around the world, and also develop plans to produce the Official Press Event at CEATEC JAPAN,” said Steve Leon, principal, ShowStoppers.

Arlington, VA, 19 Nov. 2018 – The Consumer Technology Association™ (CTA), ShowStoppers® and the New York Angels today announced they are partnering again to help entrepreneurs and startups raise early seed funding – by producing the seventh-annual official “pitch” event for startup companies that exhibit at Eureka Park during CES 2019, the world’s gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies.
“ShowStoppers LaunchIt” is a CES 2019 Media Day Power Session scheduled for Monday, January 8, 2:30-4:30 p.m. at Mandalay Bay, one day before the CES show floor opens.
Angel investors and venture capitalists will again judge 10 of the hottest companies to take the stage at ShowStoppers® LaunchIt, after selecting finalists from the more than 1,200 young, innovative, transformative and entrepreneurial startups that exhibit in Eureka Park, a marketplace within CES where retailers, venture capitalists, manufacturers and others will find entrepreneurs launching new products, services, apps and ideas.
Companies that exhibit inside Eureka Park are invited to apply to pitch for funding at ShowStoppers LaunchIt: http://launchit.showstoppers.com.
There is no application fee, and there is no fee charged to companies that are selected to pitch.
“We are looking for the best and brightest,” said Brian Cohen, chairman, New York Angels. “We have sourced exciting startups for new investment at ShowStoppers LaunchIt. This seventh edition of the Eureka Park pitch event will, again, highlight these innovative companies to CES attendees and the world.”
The winning company is invited to demonstrate and meet with more than 1,300 journalists expected to attend ShowStoppers @ CES, the press event that takes place Tuesday, January 8, at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas.

BERLIN, 10 Sept. 2018 – Breaking records for the tenth consecutive year, 100 industry leaders, innovators and start-up companies introduced new gear, gadgets, apps and devices for work, home and play to journalists attending two ShowStoppers press events in Berlin – ShowStoppers @ IFA, the world’s largest tradeshow for consumer electronics and home appliances; and a new, second press event, ShowStoppers @ IFA Global Markets, Europe’s largest sourcing show for the electronics sector.
Nearly 1,000 journalists from 60 countries attended the two official press events of IFA.
“Literally a line of journalists from all over the world were there to film our product, ensuring global coverage in just a couple of hours. The exposure we got was just insane!” said Julian Jagtenberg, founder, Somnox.
