12 units of “Muscle Suit Soft-power” and 2 units of “Muscle Suit GS-BACK” have been implemented, primarily utilized in the Vehicle Logistics Division at the Inabe Plant. This division primarily engages in the transportation of components, where scenarios involving boarding and alighting from towing vehicles and lifts are common. The expectation is that the introduction of assist suits will alleviate the physical strain during component transportation.
Among the various assist suits available, the key determining factor for adoption was usability. Due to the nature of the tasks, scenarios involving boarding and alighting from vehicles such as lifts and transport vehicles required suits that could facilitate these actions and allow for flexibility. Additionally, considering the utilization by women and elderly individuals, lightweight characteristics played a crucial role in the decision-making process. The perceived effectiveness of the assistance provided by the suits was also evident. Innophys aims to establish an environment where assist suits are commonplace in factories, dispelling the notion of strenuous and heavy tasks. By deploying assist suits to skilled workers, particularly women and the elderly, the intention is to reduce the physical burden of tasks, enabling continued active participation in the workplace.
